Vacation!

I have an excuse for not updating my blog in a while this time :)

Jamie and I just got back from 2 weeks in California for vacation. We spent a week with my mom, helping her do a few things for her new house – then spent 4 wonderful days in San Fran. It was my first time there, so I wanted to try everything and I think I just about did!

We went on a city tour which included a ferry ride to Sausalito and various other sights around town. We also went on a “Segway waterfront tour” during which we rode segways around some of the waterfront sights. We went on an 8 hour wine country tour where I think I had more wine than in my entire lifetime up to this point (I rarely drink alcohol except maybe a sip for a toast such as new years) and we visited the Aquarium by the bay, the Wax museum and even Ripleys Believe it or not museum.

We stayed at the Argonaut hotel, in the king view suite which was amazing! I think this was the first REALLY enjoyable hotel stay I’ve ever had.

Well, enough blab… go check out the pictures and let me know what you think.

I’m so glad you and Jamie got to go. Looks like you had great relaxing fun. :-) Did any wineries strike your fancies in particular?

I had seen the argonaut from the outside, but not from the inside. Looks nice. :-)

Isn’t San Fran amazing? I’m sure there is so much more to see, but I’m so impressed with it. Pictures don’t really do it justice. I mean they are pretty, but it took actually being in San Fran to realise how beautiful it was.

It’s not just the aesthetics, it’s the functionality. Anything I needed or wanted was so so close. there were just enough people and not too much. A restaurant, recreation work, nature, whatever. It’s all right there within walking distance. Great infrastructure/ transportation. If you live in San Fran proper it’s just amazing… And that’s the experience you get when you stay there too really.

Thanks again for the monitor. Mom felt a lot better knowing she could hang onto it a little longer while she could sort out the other one. If we decide to buy her one tomorrow, I may just take the wide screen as my spare monitor and give yours back.

    Hey, install OpenID!! :-)

The Madonna Estate was very nice, they use organic and dry farming. They only sell direct – check out their site:

OpenID is installed now – but I think I need to tweak a few things to make it work right :)

Okay, I forgot what comment moderation settings I had chosen – works now, but your first comment will need to be approved before further comments will get through.

That and Akismet have saved me countless hours of spam trolling :)
