Phone Systems – 10 Quick And Easy Tips To Pick The Right Phone System To Enhance Productivity Of Your Business

A phone system is one of the most important and necessary purchases for your business. The right phone system can increase employee productivity and enhance the perception of your business for your customers, clients and stakeholders. Let us first review some common phone system terminology.

  • Ports are the number of connections that can be handled by your phone system and include both incoming lines and extensions.

  • Trunks or Lines are the number of outside telephone lines.

  • Cabinet, also known as central office (CO), key system unit (KSU), central unit or base, is the main box used for holding the phone system.

  • Extensions are used for both internal and external communication. They refer to the unique numbers used for identifying phones, modems and fax machines. Extensions are internal to the business and connect to the outside world via the cabinet.

  • Computer telephony integration (CTI) consists of a set of applications that enable integration of your phone system with a computer. CTI provides features like incoming call routing, one click dialing, video conferencing, telephone directory and caller identification in addition to allowing the computer to receive voice, data and fax calls.

    Types of PBX Phone systems

KSU-less systems are the cheapest phone systems and offer limited features. They are usually suitable for small businesses with less than ten employees. KSU-less system does not need a cabinet as the telephones have all the routing software installed in them. A KSU-system has certain limitations. These systems are not compatible with Key and PBX systems and may offer little utility if your business expands and upgrades to a better phone system. Additionally, these systems are not supported by vendors and you will have to take care of their servicing and installation.

Key Systems or Key Telephone Systems are suitable for medium-scale businesses with less than forty employees. A set of buttons corresponding to the number of available phone lines are provided with each phone. These phone systems can be easily upgraded but they offer little customization abilities in comparison to other systems.

Private Branch Exchange (PBX) phone systems offer a wide range of features, and can be easily upgraded and customized. Though most expensive, they enable cost reduction as you scale, making them most suitable for large businesses with over 100 employees.

Hybrid systems- These systems combine the cost-effectiveness of key systems with the range of features of PBX systems.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a business phone that uses the internet for call routing and forwarding. It provides a cost-effective and portable substitute for KS and KSU-less systems. The router can be taken from place to place and plugged into any internet connection. However, each time the geographic location of the router is changed, you must inform your VoIP service provider, so that emergency calls can be routed to the nearest call centre. The biggest disadvantage of VoIP systems is their complete dependence on the internet connection. A poor connection deteriorates call quality, whereas connection loss can cause the system to fail altogether. Remember to discuss security and encryption issues with your provider before purchasing a VoIP phone system.

How to pick a phone system?

First assess your current and future business needs to estimate the required phone system size, expected business expansion in two-three years, available budget, and the required phone features and accessories like voice mail, caller id, one-touch dial, forwarding and conferencing. Lines and extensions are the key factors that determine the system size. After you have clearly identified your needs find a phone system that meets all your requirements.

How much would a phone system cost?

Prices of key and hybrid systems usually range from $350-$1000 per user, that of PBX systems from $800-$1000 per user and KSU less systems from $130-$225 per phone. Phone system prices depend on various factors like telephone cabinet, the actual phones, add-ons, training, service, programming, and future modifications.

Before purchasing a phone system, take into consideration the total cost of ownership. Customizable, expandable, reliable, and upgradable phone systems have a higher initial cost per user but prove economical in the long run.

How to pick a phone vendor?

Your telephone vendor usually takes care of supply, installation and programming of phone systems. Select a vendor who has completed a number of installations of your chosen system. Such a dealer will be more familiar with the problems that can occur and their solution. Seek demonstrations of different phone systems to determine the best one for your business. Most dealers will agree to train your employees in the use of the phone system.

Vendors also provide a combination of warranties with your phone system. A service level agreement determines the vendor’s response time to a phone system problem. Additionally, the vendor should provide you with regular hardware and software updates. Always check references before making your purchase, especially inquire about the vendor’s quality of service and experience.

Learn how voip makes phone saving possible

VOIP stands for “Voice Over Internet Protocol”. This simply means a new way to make voice phone calls using the internet in stead of using phone lines to connect the call. This sounds like a very complicated method, but in all actuality you do nothing different than you would normally do and the calls cost considerably less!

You can attach the same phone you are already using to the computer and then use it like you always have. The only complicated stuff that happens is invisible to you.

You can make these phone calls on the internet at a fraction of the cost of using a home phone because consumers all over the word using broadband internet are sharing the cost of the back-end network used to deliver the phone calls opposed to att having to build a network from the ground up for phone calls to take place on a standard land line.

Are Fake Security Cameras Effective? The Conclusion Could Be A Absolute

Security corporations started to consider ways in which to form a cost effective solution to a video surveillance system and so they came up with a smart idea, dummy cameras or pretend security cameras. There is no additional equipment, like a DVR or monitor, that should be purchased when using fake security cameras.

Higher-en faux security cameras conjointly include a pretend length of cable that connects to a non-working electrical outlet. Some pretend security cameras go back and forth when motion is detected and light up as if they are recording everything they see. The cheapest faux securit cameras will be recognized by not having real lenses (the lenses are simply an opaque piece of plastic) Alternative pretend cameras include broken real cameras, motion sensors disguised as cameras, or empty camera housings.

Pretend security cameras have served to forestall several crimes. Mounted in high profile, in plain sight places, these cameras are not attached to anything, they principally operate for a long time on batteries and generally have some flashing lights or different obvious characteristics to make them the look as if they are doing something.

Several would-be robbers have changed his or her mind about coming into someplace illegally after spotting one of those dummy security cameras pointed right at them. With today?s technology, an inexperienced thief usually has no way to know whether or not he is looking at a wireless, state-of-the-art surveillance device or a fake security camera. A number of them actually pan backwards and forwards, though these require more frequent battery replacements.

Pretend security cameras are especially effective in areas that you simply expect to be observed by security cameras. For example, several of the cameras in subway stations across the world are pretend security cameras and no one can tell the difference. During hard times, when the crime rates usually rise and cities are running short of money, the ratio of faux cameras to operational ones was almost 2-to-1 in a few metropolitan areas.

Knowing that the fake cameras would be regarded as real, the fakes were sprinkled in among the real ones to supply an extra motivator for would-be robbers and thieves to apply their trade in another place. Aside from the shortage of taped footage provided by the genuine cameras, dummy security cameras are almost as effective in keeping down crime numbers in subways as the expensive ones are.

Only refined thieves will tell—at a distance—whether they’re being observed by a genuine security camera however most thieves are not going to stay around long enough to allow the cameras to catch them on tape. You can be sure though when it comes to a master criminal only the real security cameras will do.

Active And Proactive Self Defense With A Hidden Camera DVR And Barracuda Stun Guns

Barracuda Stun Guns are some of the most popular of all electroshock weapons, which is a class fast evolving into the deterrents of choice in the 21st Century. But just as the best defense is a good offense, the best offense can also be a pro-active defense. Being pro-active means being pre-emptive, or taking care of things before they come to pass so that they do not happen. They don?t ever get the chance to take place because of careful forethought. After all, everyone agrees that it is better to be prepared than take a chance on safety.

Having a Hidden Camera DVR is a necessary element of any pro-active security system. Because when it comes to protecting yourself and your loved ones, it?s just common sense to be pre-emptive. As another saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. A hidden camera DVR can be a great way to prevent crime. These devices are easy to set up and use, offering a wealth of information. Their video records can be used to identify criminals for prosecution as well as prove to the insurance companies that your property really has been stolen or damaged.

With a hidden camera DVR , you will get the jump on what?s happening before it happens. With a DVR hidden camera you will obtain a true picture of your security situation. These devices help you distinguish between your true friends and your secret enemies. For example, one of the most popular of uses of a hidden camera DVR has been to catch malicious babysitters and other caretakers in the act of criminal mischief. Many a vague gut feeling of unease has been confirmed through the judicious deployment of a hidden camera DVR at home or in the office. But you shouldn?t wait until your intuition finally warns you that things are not all right. A well-placed video surveillance system can shed light on almost any matter. Such a security set-up also provides incontrovertible evidence in cases of actual malfeasance.

And don?t forget that crime prevention doesn?t just concern physical assault. Employers can also deploy a hidden camera DVR to help ensure proper behavior on the job. Such security systems will also help fight theft and fraud. A video surveillance system can monitor customer-staff interactions and be useful in cases where complaints arise. These cameras are quick to install and only need minimal maintenance. And hidden cameras are available in all shapes, sizes, and guises ? or, more to the point, disguises. They can be found in the most innocuous of everyday items, from wall clocks to teddy bears! And as technology improves, they can only be available in an ever-greater variety of helpful form factors.

Nokia Review Nokia 6788? Your Internet Introducing Nokia 6788 With TD-SCDMA Support

nokia 6788: is developing step by step in China. It follows the trend of cell phones such as Apple iPhone, BlackBerry and so forth. Now Nokia lanuches 3G phone in China with a lower price and high volumes.

Nokia Corp. uncovered its first cellphone developed with China’s homegrown third-generation mobile technology Tuesday, aiming to “democratize” the smart phone market by aiming to sell lower-priced handsets at higher volumes.

The phone and others like it in the company pipeline could help Nokia Replica, struggling internationally to keep pace with Apple Inc. in the fast-growing, higher-margin market for premium smart phones since Apple’s iPhone was released in 2007, to close some of the gap by capitalizing on its strength in developing markets. But its look—a slider-style with a mirror-like screen?isn’t much different than what consumers have seen before.

The Nokia 6788 would ship by the end of the year, but hasn’t been priced yet, said Nokia Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. The world’s biggest cellphone maker has made the “strategic decision to invest” in the Chinese standard, called TD-SCDMA, and will strive “for market leadership” in that technology, he said.

Colin Giles, president of Nokia China and soon to be the head of global sales for the company, said Nokia is still in negotiations with operator China Mobile Ltd. about how to price the future lineup.

At the event, officials from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and state-run China Mobile were present to support the company’s first entry into China’s TD-SCDMA handset offerings.

Mr. Kallasvuo said Nokia Mobile phone had about 38% market share globally in the third quarter, and that its share in China is in line with that. The company is currently the leading cellphone maker in China, largely thanks to its success in difficult-to-penetrate lower-tier cities, he said.

Mr. Kallasvuo has said the Finnish company plans to upgrade its smart-phone portfolio in the fourth quarter to take advantage of growing consumer interest in the category.

“Mobile Internet usage will only accelerate,” he said to reporters. It’s clear consumers will want applications like maps and email “integrated into a single mobile device,” he said at the event, in which the company commemorated the tenth anniversary of its Beijing product creation center, from which more than 60 handsets have been created for the global market.

Meanwhile, Apple has rapidly gained market share globally. In the second quarter, its smart-phone market share had risen to 13.3% against 45% for Nokia, none of whose smart phones have garnered the same kind of attention as the iPhone. That compares to Apple’s 3% market share just a year earlier when Nokia had 47%, according to recent figures from research firm Gartner Inc.

Nokia, which has spent about ?40 billion ($60 billion) in research and development, is currently suing Apple for allegedly infringing 10 of Nokia’s patents covering wireless data, speech ecoding, security and encryption with the iPhone. Mr. Kallasvuo declined to comment on the lawsuit Tuesday.

China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile carrier by number of subscribers, has plans to roll out several smart phones this year in addition to the 6788 in efforts to promote faster 3G service, and expects this market to grow in China. One of its competitors, China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd., which operates a different 3G standard called WCDMA, is expecting to launch the iPhone this quarter as well.

I really expecting to the launch of Replica Nokia Phone, thus we can buy a much cheaper smartphone. Maybe this will bring it?s deficit less. nokia mobile:
