So they tell me this is Wed, but it doesn’t feel like it.

Monday felt like Saturday, and I slept through most of yesterday… even though I was at work, I don’t remember much of it. I couldn’t go to bed early cuz I had laundry and watched Star Trek (Can’t stop watching Star Trek once you’re on a roll!)

This morning, after running over a curb and almost rear-ending someone because my mind was somewhere in lala land, I decided I needed coffee… So after almost being late, waiting 10 minutes in the lobby for one of the 2 elevators that are working today, I get my coffee.

For some reason, the water is about 10 times hotter today than usual (either that or I’m just impatient) so my caffine intake has been delayed for the last few minutes. Thus I am still not awake, and all the more irritated that I can’t drink my coffee!

On the bright side, my new phone should be here tomorrow and I have an eye doctor appt this weekend. Hopefully some good glasses will help me see what I’m doing and relieve some of the headaches I get from straining so much.

Speaking of the new phone… they shipped it Fedex 2 day on the 4th. Fedex shows it picked up on the 5th (Which is understandable) and delivering it by the 7th. If it’s 2 day, shouldn’t it be here by the end of the second day, not the third? They picked it up at 6am Tuesday in Ft. Worth, so they have all day Tues and all day Today… why couldn’t they have it here tonite?

In my opinion, 2-day service is actually 3-day service in this case!

Ahh well, my coffee has cooled down now, so I’m gonna see if that helps me get things going.

And now, another installment of “Long winded Kris rants”

I keep threatening to get a website devoted to publishing images and stories showcasing the stupidity of Houston drivers….

My crappy camera phone doesn’t do it justice, but let me describe what’s so wrong with this persons parking job.

This is at the Chick-Fil-A on Richmond and 610, its close to my apartment, cheap, and therefore a common dinner hangout for me. The establishment is positioned towards 610, but the backside is in the best buy parking lot. The driveway is designed so that the drivethrough goes down the right side of the building, around, and back out the front facing 610.

The parking spaces on the right are angled so that you can park when coming in from the front, and there is an exit into the best buy parking lot at the back. There are 2 very large, RED signs facing the best buy parking lot stating that this is not an entrance, to continue around the building to enter in the front. Not to mention the large yellow arrows both pointing towards the best buy parking lot, indicating that traffic should only flow in one direction.

So, not only did this guy ignore the signs and enter the parking lot going the wrong way, he also had to dodge a vehicle or two trying to leave going the right way. Then he decides to park his overpriced, tricked out caddy with spinners and gold trim. He pulls in to a backwards-facing spot, and does it halfway correct the first time, then backs up and repositions – not only does he line up straight in (putting him sideways according to the yellow stripes on the ground) and takes up 2 parking spaces in the process, one of them is a handicapped spot.

He meanders in, visits the restroom, orders something and leaves… I guess his reasoning is that he was only in there a few minutes. But ovbiously has no consideration for anyone else, can’t read, and is generally dim-witted.

Now, in case this person is you, or someone you know… I make no a pologies for what I said, and I meant every word of it – however, if you have a different point of view, I would love to hear it!
